Untraced Terms of Service
Effective date: September 6, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Foredawn (“we”, “us”) for the Untraced mobile game and related services (the “Game”). By installing or playing Untraced you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Game.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires a higher age to agree to terms like these or to consent to data processing. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
2. The Game is fiction
Untraced puts a made-up phone in your hands. The people, messages, photos, and events in each case are invented. Any resemblance to real people or events is coincidental. Nothing in the Game is advice, and the Game does not access the real contents of your device.
3. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play Untraced on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, or redistribute the Game or its content;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or extract its assets, cases, or source code, except where the law allows it;
- cheat, tamper with the Game, or use tools that alter how it works;
- use the Game for anything illegal or to harm others.
All content in the Game, including stories, characters, artwork, audio, and code, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Playing the Game does not give you any ownership of it.
4. Your Support ID and progress
The Game has no accounts. It creates a random Support ID on your device and keeps your progress on the device. Deleting the app or resetting the Game from Settings deletes your progress. Your purchases are tied to your Apple or Google account, not to the Support ID, so they can be restored (see section 5).
5. Purchases
Untraced is free to download and includes ads. You can buy the following through the App Store or Google Play:
- Premium subscription (weekly or yearly). Removes ads and includes a daily allowance of hints and answer reveals for as long as the subscription is active.
- Hint packs. Bundles of hint credits you can spend on hints or answer reveals at any time.
Prices. The price and, for subscriptions, the billing period are shown before you confirm a purchase. Prices vary by country and can change. A change never affects a billing period you have already paid for.
Auto-renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you bought it, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your store account is charged at renewal. Manage or cancel in:
- iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions
- Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep premium until the paid period ends.
Hint credits do not expire and are not transferable, and they have no cash value. They can be used only inside Untraced.
Restore. Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Settings to recover your subscription and hint packs on a new device or after reinstalling.
Refunds. Payment is processed by Apple or Google under their terms, and refund requests go to them: reportaproblem.apple.com or Google Play. We cannot refund a store purchase ourselves. If you live in the European Union or United Kingdom, you agree that digital content is delivered immediately when you buy it and you lose the statutory right to withdraw within 14 days once delivery has started.
Rewarded ads. In the free version you can watch an ad to earn a hint. Ads are provided by third parties; we do not control their content and do not endorse what they advertise.
6. Changes to the Game
We add cases, change features, and fix bugs regularly. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Game, including specific cases, at any time. Where a change materially reduces what an active subscription includes, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of the current period on request.
7. Ending this agreement
You may stop using Untraced at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we discontinue the Game. Sections 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, and 11 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
8. Disclaimer
The Game is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we exclude all implied warranties. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, progress, or profits, arising from your use of the Game. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Apple-specific terms
If you got Untraced from the App Store, these additional terms apply and prevail over anything conflicting above:
- This agreement is between you and Foredawn only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Game or its content.
- Your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store usage rules.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide any.
- If the Game fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Game, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection claims.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving any claim that the Game infringes a third party’s intellectual property.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the Game, such as your wireless data agreement.
11. General
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts.
- Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. We update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new terms.
- Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Game.
- Severability. If a part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a term, we can still enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer this agreement. We may transfer it as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
